Our Mission

MaskTogetherAmerica is about grassroots empowerment. We invite everyone to join the fight.

Community-masking is a critical measure, same as vaccination. SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus that causes COVID-19 is a respiratory virus. People of all ages can get Covid-19. Even though the risk rises with age and underlying medical conditions, young people can also develop severe COVID-19 and become long haulers, continue to experience fatigue, brain fog, shortness of breath, or other symptoms weeks and months after.

The COVID-19 virus spreads from infected people when they breathe, talk, cough or sneeze. An infected person that shows no symptoms can also emit the infected viral particles called Aerosols. Transmissions are more likely in a confined space, as aerosols stay in the air. That’s why wearing a mask in an indoor setting is necessary.

Many countries have declared Covid-19 a pandemic. SARS-CoV-2 spreads rapidly and has claimed millions of lives around the globe. We could have prevented this colossal loss of life.

Our mission is to raise awareness through teamwork.

Meet The MaskTogetherAmerica Administration Team Behind The Social Media Campaign

“You’re not alone. We are in this together.” That’s our manifesto. Founders of MaskTogetherAmerica made this promise in 2020. We are public health advocates who vowed to expose the life-threatening, yet preventable, risks of contracting COVID-19. We are committed to supporting public health through amplifying individual voices through images, writing and collaboration. Our mission advocates for COVID victim families and long haulers.

Our platforms on Facebook, Instagram, Threads and X promote the layered approach in mitigation. We share true stories and annotations of published articles about medical studies because education is a critical mitigation tool. Powered by grassroots support from the advocacy community, our social media campaign continues to grow and reach every state in the United States and other countries.

Roughly 75 percent of US adults are at high risk of severe COVID because of medical conditions, disabilities, racial discrimination, social disparities and environmental factors. COVID-19 has already killed millions and countless individuals are suffering from Long Covid around the world.

People who get Long Covid require comprehensive care and a complicated diagnostic process. The United States doesn’t have safety nets or healthcare for all. Hospital and medication costs can make a person without adequate health insurance homeless. Lack of prevention puts the most vulnerable people in great danger. We must normalize prevention.

“If I can’t do great things, I can do small things in a great way.” Dr. King said. We are inspired by this human-rights leader. Join our movement. Let’s promote the layered approach in sickness prevention through education.
