Rachel Laiserin works for the NYC Government and has been actively involved in the city’s response to the pandemic. She is mother of two teenage boys whose school lives have been upended by COVID-19. She believes that masking is a simple step that we can all take to protect ourselves, others and our community. She advocates for mask wearing to allow our kids to attend school in person safely as well as a way to protect the vulnerable as we continue to deal with the pandemic. She is saddened that masking has become a political issue and hopes we can all work together to keep our communities, our country and the whole world safe.
