Tanya Gibbons Washington is a fierce and devoted Covid advocate, mother, and daughter who misses her father, who passed due to Covid-19. Based in Atlanta, GA, Tanya is a Program Coordinator with a Leadership Advisory and Executive Global Search Firm. She has a B.A. in Sociology and an Associate in Paralegal Studies. Tanya was raised by a clinical psychologist and teacher and has a passion for supporting others in the process of healing and empowerment. She grew up in Columbia, SC, but spent most of her adult life in NYC. Her focus changed 13 months into the pandemic when she lost her vaccinated father to COVID-19. She worked with infectious disease control to arrange for samples to sequence and to understand her father's breakthrough case. She was the Atlanta lead for Covid Awareness Day and has worked with numerous media outlets and legislators to help educate her community and spread awareness of the importance of vaccination and masking. Tanya is dedicated to honoring her father, protecting our loved ones, securing community protection, and being a pivotal part of this international health crisis.
