Meet Dr. Linda Green Medical Advisor of MaskTogetherAmerica

Dr. Green is a retired physician who specialized in internal medicine and medical oncology. She graduated from Duke Medical School and trained at New York Hospital and Memorial-Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She practiced medical oncology at Group Health Association and George Washington Hospital and was the Program Director for Internal Medicine at Prince George’s Hospital in Cheverly, Maryland.

She has been active since 2015 in medical support for residents who are incarcerated or facing the criminal legal system. With the onset of the pandemic, she volunteered in vaccination and educational efforts around safe practices with COVID-19. She has advocated for safe schools and transit including mask mandates.

In 2021 she testified to the Office of Civil Rights in the Department of Education regarding changes to Section 504 of the Disability Act for accommodations for students. She attended the rally at the White House for safe practices to prevent Long Covid and for research in this area. She has been active in the Community Group of the People’s CDC in educating workers on Covid safe practices.

Within the American Public Health Association, she is a member of the Medical Care Section and has been active in generating policy around such topics as police violence, prison abolition and global vaccine access. She supports MaskTogetherAmerica because she hopes to see the evolution of safer practices in health care settings, schools and workplaces.
