Meet Bobbie Wyckoff Ambassador of MaskTogetherAmerica

Bobbie Wyckoff lives in Fayetteville Arkansas, a small city nestled in the foothills of the Ozarks, where she resides with her husband David and Warrior Bear, their faithful Yorkie, who keeps the possums and raccoons at bay. Bobbie’s path in life began on a small cattle farm where she developed a fondness for all things nature, and a desire to lend a hand to others when and where she could.

After attending the University of Arkansas, she became involved in the local community by forming an eating disorder support group and becoming a public speaker for those suffering from the disorder. She continued public speaking on the issue for 12 years starting in the early 1980’s. Notably, Bobbie was featured for her work on eating disorders during an ‘Eye On America’ segment hosted by Dan Rather. She also appeared on two 80’s daytime talk shows. Sally Jessy Raphael and Jerry Springer, as a guest available to answer questions about eating disorders and provide insight on possible solutions and treatment.

While raising three children of her own, Bobbie began a 17-year career in childcare, eventually becoming director of a local facility and dedicating herself to issues of children’s safety and welfare. Currently, with all the children grown, Bobbie has joined her husband in running Cedar Masonry, a small local business devoted to restoration and repairs of old and damaged masonry.

For the last 6 years when not hiking a new trail out in the wooded mountains of the area, Bobbie can be found painting rocks as an inspiration to others. Most recently creating several painted rock displays that express thank you to all of the healthcare workers who have given so much during the pandemic. These tokens of love and kindness have been invaluable to keeping morale high in the face of tragedy throughout the local healthcare community. Bobbie’s grandchildren like to participate in these activities as well, bringing a fresh point of view to the concerns we all face in these uncertain times.
