Meet Ruth Sitts, Mask Ambassador of MaskTogetherAmerica
Ruth Sitts has always seen caregiving as the most important way to serve those around her—and a meaningful way to add beauty to the world. As a young child, she was constantly finding animals and bugs to care for; as a teenager, she volunteered in nursing homes and hospitals; and as an adult, she served as a family caregiver for over 20 years.
Throughout the ongoing challenges of respiratory viruses, Ruth has found joy in encouraging her local community—and her online community around the world—to stop the spread of respiratory pathogens. She loves making public health engaging by wearing mask accessories, matching her outfits to her masks, incorporating masks into her cosplays, and gleefully passing out free, colorful masks to any interested (or slightly disinterested yet polite) stranger. Ruth is honored to be part of the MaskTogetherAmerica team and hopes to remind the world that "wearing a mask isn't just functional... it's FUN!"
